"Crab"

These are the only photos I have of one of my first watercolors on paper. It was completed in late 2003, several months before I started watercolor lessons.



I used wet in wet for the background.



To create the texture of the rocks I used two different methods. I sprayed alcohol onto wet paint in one instance and sprinkled salt onto the wet paint in another.

Painting is very flat. No shadows or sense of depth but it was fun to paint.
